CARLO SIGNORELLI

Full Professor of Hygene and Public Health at Parma University and Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele, Milano, he is director of the Specialization School in Hygene and Public Health and Dean of the Education and Research Center of Organization, Quality and Sustainability of Healthcare Systems at Parma University. Author of more than 1200 scientific pubblications, about 200 PubMed indexed pubblications and 40 university manuals.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery, Laws and Political Sciences. He has a PhD in Public Health and he is Specialised in Hygene and Preventive Medicine. He has a Master and PhD in Epidemiology at London University (LSHTM).

He has been engaged worldwide in several universities in the field of Design and Health developing a “Salutogenic Design Program”, in both medical and design institutions.

He is member of several scientific and technical commissions (such as the Scientific Technical Comitee of the Health Ministery and the National Comitte on Vaccine (NITAG).

He has been involved in research projects about hygene, epidemiology, public health, healthcare organization, environmental policies, vaccines.

He holds a Master of Architecture in Environmental Design from the Polytechnic of Turin, Italy and a Ph.D. in Health Facility Design from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.

He has 25 years of teaching experience in several italian and international universities.

Since 2014 to 2016 he has been Director of the Italian Society of Hygene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health and he is currentyl treasurer of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA). He is journalist and newsletter director of the web journla Igienisti on-line (www.igienistionline.it)

From 2006 to 2016, he has been Major of the city of Perledo, Council Member of Environment in the Province of Lecco (PDL, 2009-14). Since 2014 he is Director of the Mountain Community of Valsassina, Valvarrone, Val d’Esino e Riviera.
